what a busy month! at the beginning of the month i went up north to visit len for his bday and we also attended a family rosary for his lola in reno....the bday surprise i had planned for him went well....he looked surprised hehee....the dinner cruise was sooo pretty....the city lights of sf were beautiful until...the fog rolled in...i was sooooo disappointed that we werent able to see the fireworks, cuz the fog was soo thick....and the poor sea lions from pier 39 were all swimming away cuz they were soo scared....it looked like the part of the pirates of the caribbean ride where its the open sea and the pirates are shoooting around u, but its all foggy so u cant really see anything....so yay we got to see red fog ehhee...the dinner was good...len had the chicken and i had salmon....and there was live music, and len and i were calling out all the titles of the songs and the music added such a great vibe to everything....they were playing songs like til there was u, love is here to stay, thats all, and of course i left my heart in sf....later on the pianist was playing clare de lune....it was beautiful....it felt like we got away from the world for a while...everything was perfect, except for the couple sitting next to us...our tables were pretty close together.......and it just felt like the guy kept looking at us, like he was trying to compete with us maybe? we heard them say to the waitress they were celebrating their engagement that happened a yr ago.....but for some reason he wasnt all into his fiance like u would expect, he was paying alot of attention to everything else....like we could sense that he was watching us or something.....for a while i thought it was just me being paranoid, ehhehe but len said he noticed him loooking too....also they seemed so rigid and like they were trying to be too proper....and i dont know i guess u would never think they were about to be married, but it was like they were on their first date or something......other than feeling like we were being monitored the whole time, it was a great experience.....we had fun!
the ride to reno the next morning was awesome! it was such a clear day and driving through the area around lake tahoe was beautiful!!!!with all the green foliage, specks of autumn in some of the trees, creeks with water flowing near the rocks, and the lake and the boats....do pretty!.... the rosary and family gathering was good there was so much food! and we had fun watching the kids in the big jumpy......we didnt have much luck in the casino...i lost in roulette and then kinda gained my money back later that evening....but len wasnt having too much luck with roulette either.....lj taught himthe basics of craps, then i watched for a bit but i was too scared to join in.....i decided to try to play right before we left, and came up prob just 15 dollars....also i got to see the wilkerson's and the pasetes' for a lil bit before i left for the airport....
~another cool thing was that we had a roomie outting! it was soooo cool cuz all 6 of us were actually in the same city for the first time in soo long! so we had to meet up! dree and i drove to puente hills mall to meet up at oscar's but it took us like 3 hours cuz it was rush hour and it was raining...it felt just like old times, like we were all still in irvine.........i miss them! tinz had to go to a meeting, so after we ate we went to joe's crab shack to get dessert and tinz met up with us after her meeting...it was sooo fun!!!! also a week later we went to knott's scary farm.......i was sooooooooo paranoid about going, just cuz i dont like getting scared and i remember the time when i went with cherlou and it was just the two of us....on a weeknite....so it was not crowded at all and soooo many monsters scared us...that it was enough for me to not even want to go into a maze.....hehehe we went in line for the rides as a hideout......so i was soooo scared to go this time, but i wanted to go so i could hang out with everyone........when we got there it was alot more crowded than when i last went....but there were still alot of monsters......the mazes were sooooooo exhausting...but it was mainly from laughing all time..luckily people would get scared right in front of me or behind me, so i can prep myself and anticipate where they might scare me.....i was mostly scared of freaking out and getting chased , but luckily i had my roomies' hands to hold to prevent me from running ehhehe...but i felt bad cuz i musta squeezed the life outa anne marie's hand cuz i was so scared and i kept tickling her cuz i would be grabbing on to her all the time.......but it was all good....it was soooo fun to hang out with them all again....
~also for my mom's bday we wanted to throw my mom a surprise party...i didnt really worry about it much, cuz i was like 'hey its a potluck so i wont be that tired,' boy was i wrong! from 8am til like 6 pm that day was allllllllll busy and tiring....at first after my parents left for church auntie glo, uncle peter, and joe came to help me set up.....and then i picked up tita dolly and dey and alot of people were here already by then.....everyone helped out soo much, we couldnt have done it without all their support.....even just running around getting people to park in the right place....and just getting all anxious about when they were going to get here and hoping that the late people dont ruin the surprise, took sooo much energy....even my mom's best bud from the p.i. was here too from sd.....the happy bday song was suppsed to be cued to when she walked in, but the remote kept messing up so it was a lil late, but everyone started singing right when she walked in...her reaction was priceless!!! she was reallly surprised! all the guests were sooo hyped up before that too, just anxious about surprising her......everything went really well....
~yesterday was our company party...it was fun! everyone left like right after they ate tho! so a few people were left to dance, but it was a good crowd...so energetic! esp mommy inkay shes a great dancer....bet she can outlast all of us with her energy on the dance floor.....and i joined my first conga line ..heehe we got everyone who was seated to join in, it was cool......and of course we were all taking hella pictures....i just felt bad cuz sooo many people left, so by 10pm, there was hardly anyone there anymore....after that alot of us went to yankee doodles....it was a cool place cuz there was so much to do there like pool, arcade games and dancing...the drinks were pretty good (except for my hurricane) and they were pretty cheap too! the dancing was fun and it was just really cool to get a chance to hang out with my coworkers outside of work......
~wow this is a long blog! im going to watch "incredibles" with gisela tomorrow at el capitain...i havent been there since we watched "white fang" in high school...but im sure itl be fun cuz they hve a pre-show with all the characters from previous movies too......ill write more later! good nite! o^;^o
